At Setia Jaya Kita, we want you to be completely happy with your electronics. If something isn't right, you have 14 days to request a return on most items, and every product we sell is covered by a 2-year manufacturer-backed warranty. This page explains how returns, refunds, exchanges, cancellations and warranty claims work, and the rights you have as a consumer in Malaysia.
These terms are offered by Setia Jaya Kita Sdn Bhd (trading as "Setia Jaya Kita"), an online retailer of consumer electronics in Malaysia. They are written in plain, everyday language so you know exactly what to expect. Nothing on this page limits or replaces the rights you have under Malaysian law. Email is our only contact channel, so if anything is unclear, just write to us at setiajayakita@gmail.com.
Your 14-Day Return Window
You have 14 days to request a return on most items. We count the 14 days from the day you (or someone you nominate) receive your order, based on the tracked door-to-door delivery confirmation.
To stay within the window, simply email us at setiajayakita@gmail.com before the end of day 14 to start your return. As long as your request reaches us within those 14 days, you're covered, even if the item takes a few more days to travel back to us.
This 14-day window covers change-of-mind returns. It is separate from, and in addition to, your 2-year warranty and your statutory rights if an item is faulty or not as described.

Eligibility & Condition of Returned Items
For a change-of-mind return, items must be returned in the same condition you received them. This helps us resell or restock them responsibly.
Please make sure returned products are unused, undamaged and complete. Items that show signs of use, are missing parts, or are returned without their original packaging may receive a reduced refund or, in some cases, may not be accepted. We will always tell you before applying any reduction.
These condition requirements apply only to change-of-mind returns. They do not apply to faulty, defective or "dead on arrival" items, which you are free to open and test (see the warranty section below).
- Unused and in original, undamaged condition.
- In the original manufacturer packaging, including any seals and protective wrapping.
- Complete with all accessories, cables, adapters, manuals and any free gifts received with the order.
- These condition requirements do not apply to faulty, defective or "dead on arrival" items, see the warranty section below.
Items That Cannot Be Returned
Some products can't be returned for change-of-mind reasons, usually for hygiene, safety or licensing reasons, or because they lose value once opened or activated. This does not affect your rights if an item is faulty, damaged in transit or not as described.
If you're unsure whether an item qualifies, email us before you buy or before you open it and we'll let you know.
- Software, applications, licences or activation keys once the seal is broken or the code has been revealed or redeemed.
- Digital or downloadable products, gift cards and vouchers.
- Storage media and other data-bearing devices once unsealed, for hygiene, security and data-integrity reasons.
- Consumable items once opened or used.
- Made-to-order, personalised or specially configured items (for example, a custom-built or pre-configured setup).
How to Start a Return
Starting a return is easy and is done entirely by email. Email is our only contact channel, so please don't post items back to us without contacting us first, as we may not be able to identify or accept unannounced parcels.
Email setiajayakita@gmail.com with the details below and our team will reply with return instructions, including the address to send the item to. Our support hours are Monday to Saturday, 9am to 9pm (Malaysia time), and we aim to respond within those hours.
- Your order number.
- The item(s) you'd like to return and the quantity.
- The reason for the return (change of mind, faulty, wrong item, damaged in transit, etc.).
- For faulty items, a short description of the issue and, if possible, clear photos or a short video.
- Please wait for our confirmation and return address before sending anything back.
Who Pays for Return Shipping
Who covers return postage depends on why the item is coming back.
If you change your mind, you arrange and pay for return shipping, and the item remains your responsibility until it reaches us, so we recommend a tracked, insured service. The original outbound delivery charge (if any) is not refundable on a change-of-mind return. If the item is faulty, defective, damaged in transit, or not what you ordered, we cover the cost of returning it.
- Change of mind: you pay return shipping and bear the risk of loss in transit; we recommend a tracked, insured service so the parcel can be followed.
- Faulty, defective, damaged or wrong item: we pay return shipping and will tell you how to send it back.
- Original outbound delivery charges are not refunded on change-of-mind returns.
- Reminder: we offer free next-day delivery on orders over RM 500 for your original order; this does not apply to change-of-mind returns.
Refunds: Method & Timing
Once we receive your returned item and confirm it meets the relevant conditions, we'll process your refund. Refunds are issued in Malaysian Ringgit (RM) to the original payment method used at checkout.
We aim to approve and issue refunds within 14 days of receiving your return. After we issue it, your bank or card provider may take a few additional working days to show the funds in your account.
- Refunds go back to the original payment method used at checkout.
- We refund the price you paid for the returned item(s).
- For faulty, damaged or wrong items, we also refund any return shipping you paid, where applicable.
- If only part of an order is returned, we refund the returned item(s); promotional discounts are applied proportionately.
- We'll email you to confirm once your refund has been processed.
Exchanges & Order Cancellations
Prefer a different model, colour, or a replacement of the same item? Let us know in your return email and we'll do our best to arrange an exchange, subject to stock availability. If the item you want costs more than your original purchase, we'll tell you the difference in RM before proceeding; if it costs less, we'll refund the difference to your original payment method. If your preferred item is out of stock, we'll offer an alternative or a full refund.
You can also cancel an order before it is dispatched at no cost, simply email us as soon as possible with your order number. If your order has already shipped, please follow the return steps above once it arrives.
- Exchanges are subject to stock availability and confirmed by email.
- Any price difference on an exchange is settled in RM, either charged or refunded to your original payment method.
- Orders can be cancelled free of charge any time before dispatch by emailing setiajayakita@gmail.com.
- If an order has already shipped, treat it as a return once it arrives.
Faulty, Defective or "Dead on Arrival" Items & Your 2-Year Warranty
If your product arrives faulty, stops working, or is "dead on arrival" (DOA, meaning it isn't working when you first unbox it), please email setiajayakita@gmail.com as soon as you can with your order number and a description of the problem. For DOA and early faults, we'll arrange a replacement, repair or refund at no return-shipping cost to you. The change-of-mind condition requirements (such as unused and unopened) do not apply to faulty items, you are free to open and test what you've bought.
Beyond the early period, every product we sell comes with a 2-year warranty covering defects in materials and workmanship under normal use. This warranty is manufacturer-backed, and Setia Jaya Kita will help you make a claim. It runs alongside, and well beyond, the 14-day return window. If a fault appears after the 14 days but within the 2-year period, email us and we'll help arrange a repair, replacement or other remedy. The warranty does not cover accidental damage, misuse, unauthorised modifications or normal wear and tear (such as battery capacity gradually reducing over time). None of this affects the statutory obligations of the manufacturer or of Setia Jaya Kita as supplier under Malaysian law.

- Warranty coverage: manufacturing defects and faults under normal use, for 2 years from delivery.
- Start any claim with an email to setiajayakita@gmail.com describing the issue, with photos or video if possible.
- Keep your order confirmation as proof of purchase.
- Remedies may include repair, replacement or refund depending on the situation.
Your Consumer Rights in Malaysia
Our returns, warranty and refund policies are designed to sit alongside your legal rights, they do not replace or reduce them. Goods we sell should match their description, be of satisfactory quality and be fit for their intended purpose.
In Malaysia, your rights as a consumer are protected by the Consumer Protection Act 1999, which sets out guarantees as to quality and fitness and the remedies available for goods that are faulty or not as described, and by the Sale of Goods Act 1957, which also governs the quality of goods sold. Our online transactions are additionally governed by the Electronic Commerce Act 2006.
These terms, and any dispute relating to your order, are governed by the laws of Malaysia. Where any of our terms appear to conflict with these laws, your statutory rights take priority.
Privacy & Changes to This Policy
When you contact us about a return, refund, exchange or warranty claim, we collect only the information needed to handle your request, such as your name, order number, contact details and details of the issue. We handle your personal data in line with the Personal Data Protection Act 2010 (PDPA), use it only to process your request and keep you updated, and do not share it for unrelated purposes. We may update this Returns & Refunds policy from time to time to reflect changes in our practices or the law. The version that applies to your order is the one published on this page at the time you placed it, and the current version always shows its last-updated date. The date below tells you when this page was last revised.
